What is Best Book Combo?
- Have you ever bought a set of books and wondered if you are paying the lowest price?
- Did you spend long hours trying to find sellers that minimize your shipping costs?
- Have you ever felt lost and frustrated repeating this process again and again?
If you have, then you're not alone. I was too. That's why I created Best Book Combo (BBC) - to help buyers
find the cheapest set of new and used books and textbooks. Unlike traditional
price comparison engines that return the prices of one book, BBC wants to
help you save on the total costs.
Some books are priced low, but their shipping costs are very expensive. By taking into account the shipping costs of each seller and the price of every book,
you can compare the total costs across 4 very popular bookstores to decide which one saves you the most money.
How does BBC save me money?
BBC searches the catalogs of 4 very popular bookstores - AbeBooks.com, Amazon.com, BetterWorld.com and Alibris.com. Each
of these stores has different shipping rates, and BBC takes care of all the work for you.
AbeBooks.com
AbeBooks brings together thousands of bookstores around the world to offer millions of books online.
The books are shipped by the sellers and the shipping rates are different from each seller, even for the same book. This is
a major headache (as I can attest!) for buyers. I can remember an incident where I tried to buy 5 books from them, and it took me about 2 hours to
find the booksellers that would minimise my cost.
BBC takes away this pain by automatically selecting those sellers which will give you the lowest overall costs!
Amazon.com
We all know Amazon.com right? Well, their Marketplace sellers provide new and used books too. BBC combs their catalog to
get you the lowest price, with shipping included.
And if you live in a country that doesn't support credit card payments to Marketplace sellers, BBC will take that into account too.
BetterWorld.com
They ship books for free in the USA, and $2.97 worldwide. The only disadvantage is that their selection of books is smaller than Abebooks and Amazon.
Alibris.com
Like AbeBooks, Alibri's a giant bookstore that brings thousands of sellers. They have standard shipping rates. US buyers will like them,
but foreign buyers may be put off by their overseas shipping rates.
How do I use BBC?
Just enter the ISBNs of the books you want, and select the correct shipping location, regions, shipping option and book condition. Remember to use one ISBN per line.
All prices are given in US dollars, but you can use the currency converter to view them in your own currency. Just set your exchange rate!
For your convenience, a history of the books you've searched is found at the bottom of the page.
Who created Best Books Combo?
I did :) My name is Alex Choo. BBC was created because I spent too much time pulling my hair while trying to save money. You see, I live in Singapore and the shipping costs of books are very expensive.
I've always been a fan of AbeBooks, Amazon, BetterWorld and Alibris, so I decided to scratch my itch and solve this problem once and for all! And to keep this service viable, I've become affiliates of those stores.
By clicking through to them from BBC, you are supporting this project.

Excuse me, but I'm looking for stuff other than books.
Aha! I'm also the owner of
109things,
a shopping site with a slick AJAX interface that converts prices into your local currency,
draws beautiful charts that show historical sales rank and price data, and sends you
email when an item is within your budget. It even allows you to compare items side-by-side!
